Working in NY / Living in NJ
Do i have to file state return for both the States ? i.e. NJ and NY

- I believe since NY & NJ both have state income tax laws (& you work in one & live in the other), you will have to file a form with each state. I worked in Mo. & lived in Il. & I had to file a form to both Mo. & Il. plus, of course, the federal form.
